Before you go all complaining at me, I know that in the game Birkin's gunshot-up arm (and also the one with the original eye and claws on it) is hisright arm, not his left (left was RE1 Tyrant), unlike in this pic. (and the concept art)
I just can't seem to draw it the other way 'round, and I even tried reflecting it but it just didn't look as good as it did from this angle. I couldn't draw a septic human eye, so I added in all the damage after on photoshop. At first when I started colouring it, it looked very cluttered and disorganised because I has used too many colours, so I used that weird creamy brown on more than one bit to keep a consistant colour in it.
I'm not sure if the skin colour works; I used the painbucket tool to colour it grey and added a more human peach colour over the top...

The background is a comic, obviously, but to avoid being sued, I better stress that I didn't draw it... (obviously)
